Exploring Inverness

Posted on January 30, 2024January 30, 2024

Oct 12 2023, I have a train at 9h52, in the beautiful Aviemore train station, towards Inverness. I go straight to the hostel, which needs a bit of walk, to drop my suitcase, so that I am free of my movements. After 20min walking up with my stuff, the person at the hostel is super annoyed that I arrive so early, cause there is no one at the front desk, which I can understand, but I just wanna drop my stuff. I give more niceness than I’m given and can finally make myself lighter to explore Inverness a little. I have a picnic on a bench across the castle and a crow is singing me songs to have some of my sandwich.

I have an early dinner at Black Isle Bar, en excellent address in Inverness. They have their own brewery and organic farm, and use their own products as much as they can on their pizzas. Beers and pizzas are delicious. Best food I’ve had in Inverness!
